The mission of DITC-Environmental Education Foundation is to bring environmental awareness through education to all, particularly eight to twelve year olds who bear the future responsibility for the stewardship of our environment and passing on their knowledge to future generations. Its work will ensure that children in rural and inner city schools nationwide have the means to learn about the need of taking care of our fragile planet. The Foundation web site will enable children, teachers and parents to access information increasing their environmental awareness. The Foundation also supports the educational days of Days in the Country sm - the outdoor recreation and conservation festival providing bountiful opportunities for participants to take part in outdoor activities and learn about the countryside. Four days of country fun incorporating: Children's Day in the Country; Land Conservers' and Land Users' Day in the Country; Family Day in the Country and Sporting Day in the Country.
